What is plating?
A thin layer of gold or silver is bonded over brass or 925 sterling silver to achieve a luminous finish.
Natural wear
Plating will soften over time. How quickly this happens depends on skin chemistry, how often you wear the piece, and your daily activities.
Make it last
- Keep away from salt, water, sweat, humidity, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning chemicals.
- Put jewellery on last (after skincare, fragrance) and take it off first.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear.
Storage & cleaning
- Store in an air-tight pouch, zip-lock bag, or jewellery box to limit exposure to air.
- Sterling silver or brass can tarnish when exposed to oxygen or sulphur—sealed storage helps.
- To clean, use a jewellery polishing cloth only (no liquid dips or abrasive cleaners).

Please do not wear your pieces in the shower, hot tub, chlorine pool, spa, or at the beach.
